Restaurants, bars, catering facilities, food delivery sales operations, day cares, hospitals, nursing homes, grocery stores, gas stations, bulk food stores, and convenience stores are some examples of facilities that would require a food license. Per Ohio Administrative Code 3701-21-03 “No person, association, organization, corporation, or government operation will construct, install, provide, equip, or extensively alter a food service operation until facility layout and equipment specifications have been submitted to and approved in writing by the licensor.” If you are interested in opening a facility, the first step is to complete a Plan Review Application. Once we receive a completed application, Sandusky County Public Health has 30 Days to review the application and determine if applicable regulations are met.
